For The Record
We all were very happy to be mentioned in WWD yesterday. Let me follow up the article by clarifying one thing since some are confused about who is running this blog. Made by Blog is “our” personal blog, and all the pennies, nickels and dimes to run the blog are coming out of my own pocket.
Katie, Laurent, Marina, Clement and I are enjoying quite a bit of freedom here thanks to IFF’s cool stance towards creative ventures. If the blog was bound by any agreement or contract things would have been different. Clement and Laurent are having the rare opportunity to use their skills and talents outside the realm of competitive, commercial perfumery. Katie and Marina are exploring the unusual event with the freedom to express their thoughts as in their own blogs. And the best part – I can still be the loose cannon!

Congrats on the article mention. I admit I didn’t understand how this entire thing was set up, but it’s good to get some history on it.
What a great venture you all have set up here! I’ve been enjoying the journey immensely.
