A little about Takuro Yamamoto

1. Takuro Yamamoto‘s elder sister Asako Yamamoto (Alphaville) is also an architect.

2. Like his sister, Takuro Yamamoto graduated from the prestigious Kyoto University. However, at “Kyodai,” Yamamoto studied engineering instead of architecture.

3. After Kyodai, Takuro Yamamoto worked for NEC before entering Waseda University to study architecture for another 6 years.

4. Before establishing his own firm in 2005, Takuro Yamamoto worked for Atelier Bow-Wow (Yoshiharu Tsukamoto and Momoyo Kaijima). At Atelier Bow-Wow, Yamamoto worked on Black Dog House (2004), Loco House(2005) and Ako House(2005).

5. Our sense of touch is one of the things that Takuro Yamamoto always thinks about when designing architecture.
