Quiz time! Clement’s Favorite Movie
Katie’s mods are on the way, mine are not quite complete. While we are waiting, let’s have a prize draw. Guess Clement Gavarry’s favorite movie and receive a bottle of Guerlain Insolence. Should there be several correct answers, the name of the winner will be chosen at random.
Clue 1:
Clue 2: It was so popular in one country, it played in its theaters for a whole year.
Clue 3: Its release was blocked in another country.
Clue 4: The film is one degree of separation from The Da Vinci Code (the movie).
Clue 5: A couple of years ago, a person who plays one of the main characters has released a fragrance, created by an IFF perfumer.
Quiz now closed. We have a winner!

I am going to make a stab (hahahahaha) at this and say it’s The Name Of The Rose from 1986. I read the book when it first came out, so my main reason for guessing this is its thematic similarity to The Da Vinci Code – which I have NOT read, but thanks to all the press the film received, I never have to. π

Is it Forrest Gump?

I’m going to guess “The Lord of the Rings” for sheer box office power, and no other evidence. I wanted to guess The X-Men:2 as Alan Cumming has a perfume, but CB didn’t come from IFF. And I can’t find any perfumes for Amelie or Venus Beauty Institute. Agh!! this question is killing me.

Am I doing something wrong (I apologize, if so) or is the website eating my comments?
Le Grand bleu. Jean Reno is the man that connets the movies and released the perfume. -

Borat? (I think Pam A. had a perfume a little while ago)

Well, I see that Benvenuta is right. Congratulations! This somewhat weird item led me astray:):

Amelie?
I’m only making the Audrey Tautou connection (unless you mean Ponton in The Pink Panther?)
Oh no! Is it a foreign film? The only foreign films I know are gay ones and ones that star Gregori Baquet and that’s because I’m ridiculously in love with him!
I’m going with Dirty Pretty Things, because it’s saucy and fun, much like Clement himself.
Oh goodness, it’s Big isn’t it? π
