Cai Guo-Qiang Residence/Studio, Beijing
From the retrospective at the Guggenheim Museum to the opening ceremony spectacle for the Summer Olympics, 2008 was the year of Cai Guo-Qiang. To end the year, Interini Magazine features the artist’s new residence and studio built in Beijing out of the ruins of a 19th-century house with a central courtyard, which is only a few blocks away from the Forbidden City. The artist worked with the emerging local architecture firm Studio Pei-Zhu for this restoration project. » Flip Pages of Interni n°587 December
