ORE-KUSA HOUSE, 2005
Ore-kusa means “bending grass” in Japanese. According to architect Atsushi Yagi, a picture of ‘walls of tall grass bending towards each other’ was the initial inspiration for the design. Yagi also refers to the shape of crystals in his statement. Whatever the architect tried to convey in this design, I just like the way it looks.
