I asked the architect for a one-line comment on this house.
「触手のように風景に伸びていく住宅」
I liked what Katsutoshi Sasaki wrote me back – “a house that stretches out towards fields like tentacles”
His client wanted each room to be open to other spaces without doors, and Sasaki’s idea was to arrange the rooms in a ginger-root-like shape. The result is a very simple and modern house that fits perfectly in rural scenery.
