A place to lounge, a place to study.
When your home becomes too cluttered with distractions, perhaps the best course of action is an extension to separate yourself from the core living space. That’s exactly what this Spanish home in the Balearic Islands undertook thanks to architects Joan Miquel Segui and Tono Vila, who expanded the existing house with a backyard courtyard extension that contains a terrace-accessed pool and studio room. The pool, which is exactly flush with the terrace that leads to it, creates a “sheet of water” that skillfully hides the pipe ends and blends into its edges with matching stone surfaces.
